What is the procedure that a spouse of a green card holder should do?

I have won a green card to US. When i got it i wasn't married. After sending my application to US i married. But I didn't apply for it with my partner's information. now i want to have my partner enter for the program. There's not a lot you can do other than contact the deciding authority and ask to amend the application. Usually, that's more trouble than it's worth. It's often easier to simply apply for their entry later, explaining at that time that you got married in between applying and your visa being issued.What is the procedure that a spouse of a green card holder should do?
